Pat: I bought a headset from you at the show. I have had the opportunity to use it and a Lightspeed Zulu at the same time under similar circumstances, in my new light sport, an Aerotrek 220, (Eurofox taildragger). The DRE 6000 wins. It's quieter.

Pat, I appreciate your helpfulness when I called, requesting some muffs and other supplies for my DRE 6000's. As I told you on the phone, I bought these several years ago, and have had the opportunity to compare them to most of the high dollar headsets on the market. In the early days, some of the more expensive headsets didn't even have the auto shut off feature, but the 6000's did. I have had friends (and instructors) fly with me as co-pilot, and invariably I have to turn the volume down on my headsets and turn up the radios so they can hear ATC or others talking on the radio. This has been true with Bose, Lightspeed and Sennheiser headsets. You have a great product at a very good price. Keep up the good work!!

After several hours of flawless use my headset developed a fault in the connecting cable, and when I contacted Pat at DRE Communications with a request for suggestions as to how I might affect a repair he offered to replace the whole cable/connector assembly at no cost to me. This level of service is regrettably all too rare in aviation today and I would recommend the DRE headsets without hesitation."

Recently purchased a set of DRE 4000 Headsets. I found the the fit and finish equal to any headsets out there, including the mint green brand. I showed the headsets to my fellow pilots at Compton Airport and they were also impressed by the quality and the unique microphone boom. You can't go wrong. I have old radios in my aircraft. While entering the traffic pattern one pilot said its about time you got a new radio. I told him I got a new headset ! When I showed him the headset he couldn't believe the quality for the price.
